Bathroom Scenario is the acapella student choir from Groningen who welcomes everyone who loves to sing. This also means that we do not have any form of auditions. Anyone who wants to, can join! The choir is already over 30 years old and has a diverse repertoire, from the Beatles to Disney, and from classics to the Top 40. Are you curious about the songs we have sung? We do not only welcome Dutch students but also internationals, which is why our rehearsals are in English under the supervision of our conductor Tobias Bethlehem. If you want to know more about Tobias? Read the section ‘Conductor’.
We rehearse every Thursday from 17:30 – 19:30. However, this is not the only thing we do as a choir. We have weekly drinks after rehearsals, but also have activities of play (board)games. Besides this we have an annual foreign trip, a rehearsal weekend, we celebrate Sinterklaas together and more.
These rehearsals are not for nothing, we work hard for multiple performances a year. In December we organise a Christmas concert, in the Spring we host a choir competition and at the end of the Season, usually in July, we perform in a self written musical!
This means that we need multiple committees supporting our choir with organising and promoting activities, our foreign trip, but also with making our musical a big success. For instance coming up with the steps for during our performances, a committee for selecting our music for the season, directing the musical or making props and many more.
